3. Lujiazui Area
The skyscraper district in Pudong. Futuristic towers, elevated walkways, and views of the river.
Best time: daytime or evening with city lights.


4. Yu Garden (豫园)
A classical Chinese garden with pagodas, ponds, and curved bridges.
Best time: morning or afternoon. The garden closes at 4:00 PM.


5. Yuyuan Bazaar (豫园商城)
Bright lights in the evening, traditional Chinese roofs, lanterns, and souvenir shops.
Best time: 1 hour before sunset and in the evening.


6. Wukang Road (武康路)
A charming street in the French Concession — old buildings, plane trees, and the famous Wukang Mansion.
Best time: morning or afternoon.


7. 1000 Trees (天安千树)
A unique mountain-shaped building with hundreds of concrete columns resembling trees. A futuristic location by the riverside.
Best time: morning, afternoon, or 1 hour before sunset.


8. Louis Vuitton Ship Building
A unique ship-shaped building with the Louis Vuitton logo. Inside — the brand’s museum, shops, and exhibition spaces.
Best time: daytime in bright light, or evening when the lights turn on.


9. The Stage Tower
A modern skyscraper with unique architecture and great angles for city backdrop photos. Paid entrance.
Best time: daytime or 1 hour before sunset, when the lights turn on in the evening.


10. Shanghai Botanical Garden (Green House / 上海植物园)
Large glass greenhouses with tropical plants, cacti, and exotic flowers. A great place for vibrant and unusual shots.
Best time: daytime for natural light through the glass walls. Evening for night illumination.


11. French Concession (法租界)
Narrow streets, old plane trees, European-style mansions, and cozy cafes.
Best time: morning or afternoon.


12. Rock Bund (洛克·外滩源)
Quiet cobbled streets, red-brick colonial architecture, and the atmosphere of an old European city in the center of Shanghai.
Best time: morning or golden hour before sunset, when soft light highlights the brick texture and foliage. In the evening, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the buildings are beautifully lit.
